You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago.

KW 20 - NC 7

Saturday, Oct 21, 2006 from Casper, Wyoming

GO TROJANS! The Kelly Walsh Trojans had a joyous victory tonight as the students rushed onto the field after the closing seconds. It was the annual Oil Bowl against the cross-town rival Natrona County High School.

It was cold, cold, cold, and windy, windy, windy. But I wasn’t leaving a minute early and I’m happy I stayed. I’ve never seen fans rush the field in person before. It was pretty cool to see. Lots of school spirit.

I spent nearly the full day at the high school. This morning I talked to the history class for nearly an hour. The teach there is Mr. Horne, the head football coach. It was great to have them ask questions for about 40 minutes.

All afternoon I hung out with the Dynamic Five-Some again, mostly in band class and percussion class. I"m thankful for the high school letting me kind of hang out and see the high school life. The bunch of girls are full of energy and I just really love the spirit of high school kids. They just have this random craziness to them, you never know what’s going to come next. And they’re willing to listen when you can relate to them. I’m really hoping that some of them keep in touch with me and send me some e-mails. So if you’re reading this at KW get to it! I’m waiting to hear from you. High school rocks!
