You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago.

Great Laughs in Casper

Monday, Oct 23, 2006 from Casper, Wyoming

Casper treated me well. They filled me with laugher, smiles, and high school youth. Jette and the Dynamic Five-Some put my energy level to the test. And I survived! I made some great friends this week with my hosts. I’m quite confident to say that we’ll be in touch for years and years to come. Once again it was hard to leave today. It’s impressive how close I can get with my hosts in just a few days. And it ended fabulously.

Last night I went bowling with Jette and Rachel, tying Rachel with 112. And this morning I drove up to Thermopolis with Jette, Mir, and Gail (Jette’s mom). They treated me to a sandwich and a shake at the famous Yellowstone Drug Store in Shoshoni. Trust me, if you’re ever near Shoshoni you need to stop by the drug store and pick up a shake. They’ve got more flavors than I’ve ever seen. Of course from there we went on to the hot springs in Thermopolis. After a busy week it was perfect to top it off in the sun and warm water.

I’m making a lot of new friends for life and new memories all over the place while seeing the country. And this week was full of more laughter than any other week. I love it!
