You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago.

Cheers to Milwaukee

Wednesday, Sep 13, 2006 from Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Here’s to Milwaukee. It’s been a great few days in Milwaukee, five nights and fours days to be exact. I’ve experience and learned a lot in the short time I was here. Anah and Dan were fantastic hosts. I commend their bravery to be the first people to host me on this trip. They probably didn’t know what they were getting into, but I hope it was as good for them as it was for me. Seeing the town (city) along with someone else really helps open up a new perspective, big or small, it’s another glimpse.

Outside of Milwaukee itself I’ve learned a lot about this trip. I now have a much better idea of the time commitment, how to go about things such as the photos, the writing, etc. I also have a tiny glimpse of what’s going to be easy and what’s going to be hard on the trip, as I really try to continue producing something great. Hearing from everyone has lead to a lot of ideas and inspiration as I see this as a collective journey.

It’s great to be officially on the road. As the trip goes on hopefully I can explore a little deeper in everything I do. This is only my first stay with a host. I have to multiply this experience by more than 50 a year from now. Things have really picked up and I’m enjoy every bit of it. Much peace Milwaukee, I’ll be back again. -xo

Hey Bugs!! Did you skateboard in WI yet? Be sure and be the first guy to do all 50 with the board. Do you have anyone in Iowa yet?

If I had my own place I would probably be ok with you staying here. I wish you the best of luck in all that goes on for you!
