You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago.

The Pacific Ocean!

Saturday, Nov 11, 2006 from Long Beach, Washington

I made it to the Pacific Ocean! This is the most liberating feeling of the trip. Freedom! The big crashing waves, the long open beach, a gloomy day with clouds and rain, and a strong wind that just seemed to blow everything else away at the moment. I had no concerns, no thoughts, just in absolute love with everything around me. I can’t describe it.

Reaching it to the ocean is the greatest milestone of the trip to this point. Making it to the coast brings an end to the first 10 states of the trip and as others have said this trip is epic.

I love moments and places that feel fresh and this has topped it all. I stopped at Long Beach on my way out of Washington. I took it all in just absorbing it and smiling big in awe of it all. This is the pinnacle of it all.
