-Bugsy You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago. See what I've been up to for the last 16 years at www.bugsy.me |

300 Blogs and 100 DaysSunday, Jun 3, 2007 from McLean, VirginiaWow, here I am, just on the outskirts of Washington D.C. I’ve now covered 34 states in 9 months and have somehow managed to spit out over 300 blog entries and post over 1600 photos (oh, but I have taken waaaay more). There have probably been over 30 newsletters I’ve sent out (alright, so I’ve missed a few, sorry!). Though there are nearly 1/3 of the states remaining, I feel very close to being on the home stretch. Take a look at the map, I only have a tiny corner left. The land area that remains is probably less than the size of Texas. A year ago when I was designing this site I was wondering what all those numbers were going to look like as well as that big red line that has gotten a little crazy in the last couple months. Truth of it all, none of it could have been anticipated! None of it! People often ask about my expectations, but, what expectations? I hardly knew what I was getting myself into. Frankly, that’s the way it is with most big dreams. You don’t know what’s going to happen and you just have to go for. As for the few expectations I have had, they were exceeded a long time ago. The big questions are starting to come up. They’ve been in my mind for months and months, I’ve been anticipating them. But most of the questions from other people are now starting to revolve around what’s going to happen at the end of the trip. Surely there is plenty of content for a book. You would be surprised how much content there is that I really have opted to not write about on the website, especially the last few days. There is probably enough content for a book from last night alone. Maybe one coffee table book, one essay book, and a comic book series for Rice. But there are the other trips, many other trips that I have in mind. Sorry mom and dad, I can’t share these with you yet. Then there is my dear companion, that beautiful 2007 Jeep Compass. Ah, this is fun! This is the part where I start having sleepless nights getting excited and coming up with what I do next! Only about 100 days remain!
