-Bugsy You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago. See what I've been up to for the last 16 years at www.bugsy.me |

Blog ArchiveAnd on to PhoenixDec 21, 2006 from Phoenix, ArizonaAfter arriving in California over a month ago I am finally out. It’s not that I wanted to get out, but it was time to tackle some other states. I really felt I was there for so long, I’m used to being in a state for only a week, so I feel like I’m violating some law when I stay in one state for longer than a week.
On my way to Phoenix I went from an elevation of sea level to 4,000 feet rather fast. … Posted: Dec 21, 2006 | Post a commentBlueberry MessDec 18, 2006 from San Diego, CaliforniaSo five minutes ago Teddy and I are rolling back from our afternoon assignment. We headed out to pick up Kristy and Squan a cup of yogurt, friut, and granola, and we each had one for ourselves. Teddy and I were both on our rad Salem Skateboards. The brothers gave me a deck and a couple shirts to rock out on the trip. I’m pumped about it, one of the best souvenirs from the trip. … Posted: Dec 18, 2006 | Post a commentStuck in CaliforniaDec 18, 2006 from San Diego, CaliforniaI took a photo of the “Welcome to California” sign over a month ago on November 16th. That was a long time ago. I’m stuck! I can’t get out of California. Honestly, part of me doesn’t want to leave. But I gotta keep moving. Granted I took a few days in New York City and a long week in Hawai’I, and I’ve done a lot of different things here. I always feel that the hundreds of photos and blogs aren’t even enough to tell all the stories and all the experiences. … Posted: Dec 18, 2006 | Post a commentTurtlenecks and SweatersDec 18, 2006 from San Diego, CaliforniaRed spandex, red ski boots, gnarly mustache, tacky red Christmas sweater, and greased back hair, that was the scene last night of what I would have to say is one of the greatest parties I will probably ever attend, until next year of course when I come back for an even bigger and better bash. I attended the 4th annual Windigo Turtleneck and Sweater Party at the La Jolla Brew House. … Posted: Dec 18, 2006 | Post a comment2006 Christmas ListDec 17, 2006 from San Diego, CaliforniaMaking a Christmas list has been a personal tradition of mine for as long as I can remember. It’s something I always have to do. Mostly it’s just for my own enjoyment to dream, but if I don’t share it with anyone else what’s the point of making it. But since I don’t really have a place for Santa to pick up my list, I have to post it online, that’s the easiest way for Santa to find it now. … Posted: Dec 17, 2006 | Post a commentTiger and FriendsDec 15, 2006 from El Segundo, CaliforniaIt’s a cool experience for people who can say they say Wayne Gretzky or Michael Jordan play or saw a Beatles play in concert. Well, now I can tell my kids and grand kids someday that I got to watch Tiger Woods play golf. It’s another one of those experiences that was very unanticipated and spontaneous on the trip.
I happened to get back from Hawaii and the next day Bill had tickets to go to the Target World Challenge PGA event. … Posted: Dec 15, 2006 | Post a commentI Should be SleepigDec 14, 2006 from 35,000 Feet High, HawaiiOnce again I’m about 35,000 feet (thanks dad, I’m pretty sure it’s not that many miles) in the air. This time I’m on my way back to Los Angeles and sadly leaving Hawaii. I just don’t want to leave that beautiful weather behind, especially the beach lifestyle and the big surf. Before flying out this evening Craig and Gaudencia treated me to some great Korean food where we stuffed ourselves and then walked around Honolulu to see the beautiful Christmas decorations. … Posted: Dec 14, 2006 | Post a commentHawaii ChillDec 13, 2006 from 'Ewa Beach, HawaiiMy time in Hawaii has been a lot more laid back. Between what was mentioned in the previous posts, a couple sunsets, a high school play, wandering around Waikiki Beach, it was pretty slow moving. That was the idea while in Hawaii. And I didn’t use that free time to catch up on things I need to get done. That just wouldn’t be a good way to spend time in Hawaii. … Posted: Dec 13, 2006 | Post a commentIt's Good to be da DriverDec 10, 2006 from 'Ewa Beach, HawaiiSo far on this trip I’ve averaged about 100 miles of driving per day. Well, in the last week that has fallen. I went to NYC and didn’t drive at all. Only a couple short trips when I was in El Segundo. And now I’ve been in Hawaii for several days. Oh how much I miss the freedom of driving! I suppose I kind of take it for granted on this trip, you know, being stuck in a car, living out of it for a year, putting who knows how many thousands of miles on it before I return back home. … Posted: Dec 10, 2006 | Post a commentSurf's Up DudeDec 10, 2006 from 'Ewa Beach, HawaiiWow, sunburn in December, that’s a first. My nose looks like a little cherry. And a pale kid like me really stands out at the beach in Hawaii. I spent a couple hours at the beach yesterday to relax and do absolutely nothing. That was at ‘Ewa Beach. Today, however, I found myself at the Banzai Pipeline, at the site of the Vans Triple Crown surfing competition and the Rip Curl Pro Pipeline Masters. … Posted: Dec 10, 2006 | Post a comment |
