A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago. See what I've been up to for the last 16 years at www.bugsy.me |

DessertFriday, Jul 27, 2007 from Erieville, New YorkI’m a little sad about this topic and my experience of dessert across the country. Just not many families serve dessert after dinner. I’m kind of shocked. With a country that’s getting heavier and heavier I also thought it would be more likely. I miss lots of freshly baked brownies, cookies, pies, and cakes. I wouldn’t say I took it for granted growing up, but I guess I didn’t realize just how lucky I was. Living in the Sailor house wasn’t much different than living in a bakery. My mom always had fresh cookies of some sort to pass around the dinner table after dessert. There was always dessert after every meal. And we’re still a good healthy family, so don’t go thinking that! Why is it that not many families have dessert? This country loves to eat, I have learned about that on this trip. They’re missing out on the best part!
Comment by Dad From Baraga, MI Bugs, As I'm reading this it is 91 degrees out, 84 in the house and your mom just finished baking some banana bread for the freezer and a frozen pie for dessert. I think I get to have some of the pie tonight : )
