You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago.

Happy New Year!

Monday, Jan 1, 2007 from Henderson, Nevada

Wishing a happy new year to everyone! Cheers, to an amazing year to come, let’s all make ‘07 great. Last night I rang in the New Year with my brother, his fiancé, and her crew. Funny thing today is the Rose Bowl. My brother graduated from University of Michigan and Kimmie graduated from University of Southern California. They’ll have lots of comments in the airport today when they are each wearing the sweatshirt of their alma mater. So that’s cool. But sometimes I don’t like to know if Kimmie is reading my blog because she’s a writer and can pick apart probably at least a hundred things wrong in each blog entry. But it’s a blog, not a book, it’s casual, right?

Anyways… I was on the west side of Vegas on the foothills overlooking the city from a ways away. It was a casual evening sitting in the hot tub outside while waiting for the fireworks to light up The Strip. Everyone assumed that when I said Las Vegas for New Years that I’d be down in the middle of the strip with my camera. Well, I wanted to, but I much rather spend it with my brother while I can and I probably won’t see him again until his wedding, unless he tries to meet up with me in a 4th state. So it was a good evening, laid back, and hanging out with new friends.
