-Bugsy You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago. See what I've been up to for the last 16 years at www.bugsy.me |

Homecoming InvasionFriday, Sep 29, 2006 from White Bear Lake, MinnesotaThis afternoon I successfully invaded the White Bear Lake homecoming parade. While here in town Mark suggested to the principal that I hit up the parade. The principal was happy to have me. So there I was… I showed up this afternoon with Mark and Linda, some Century College Frisbees, and a couple big boxes of candy. The girls who put the parade together tracked me down. I can’t thank them enough, they were excited to have me and even made a couple signs that each said “Justin” in big letters. It was pretty cool to be invited to the parade. The only other time I was in a parade was probably when I was in the color guard and twirled guns. Cool hey? Homecoming in a big town is quite a bit different than home at Baraga. But, talk about hometown invasion. The kids mobbed the car wanting their picture taken, telling me they want to be famous. It was a little weird to drive with signs that just said “Justin.” But I was more than happy to put them on the Compass since they made them for me. Anyways… the mob of kids was amazing. I didn’t think I was going to get out alive. I’ve never really seen anything like it. There seems to be a lot of great school spirit through the town. I’m happy to be a part of it. The homecoming parade is quintessential to this trip. Go Bears!
