You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago.

Day #25

Wednesday, Sep 27, 2006 from White Bear Lake, Minnesota

Another great day. It’s been busy and it’s hard to stay up just to write a little each night.

After talking with the elementary kids this morning I had a little bit of down time to relax and catch up on the growing list of unread e-mails. Anyone want to be my personal manager?

When Anna got back from school her and Mark helped me wash the Jeep Compass and restore it to its nice shine. Looking good now. Then I went on a short motorcycle ride with Mark around the lake. Still not sure if I’d ever buy a motorcycle, it’s tempting.

And then tonight I met the president of the Minnesota Twins briefly before attending the game against the Kansas City Royals. Mark had worked with him several years ago and it was a quick opportunity for a meet and greet. The Twins went on to win 3-2 in a close game right down to the 9th inning.

I’m not a huge baseball fan, but that could change. It’s only been four states and I’ve seen Miller Park, Wrigley Field, and now the Metrodome. Pretty cool. Of course I won’t get to see any in the next several states. But I’m sure there will be similar opportunities as the trip progesses.
