-Bugsy You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago. See what I've been up to for the last 16 years at www.bugsy.me |

Ready for More, Stay TunedSaturday, Sep 22, 2007 from Baraga, MichiganIt’s a beautiful Saturday morning in Baraga. It’s hard to believe after last night. There I was with my parents enjoying the big rivalry high school football game between Baraga and L’Anse. The sky got dark, then darker yet. Lightening and thunder started rumbling, then the rain came blowing in sideways at probably 40 or 50 mph. It would have been perfect for a football game. That’s why bad weather was created, for football. Well they postponed the rest of the game. This morning the skies are bright blue and not a cloud in sight. Though I’m sure there is another few inches in the rain gauge this morning. It was a pretty eventful end to an already eventful day. We had company at the house on a couple occasions and before that I found myself at the high school for three hours talking to four different classes about my trip. This week has not been productive like I wanted it to be, mostly because I came down with something and was sick for most of it. And a week simply isn’t enough time to come down from this cloud after a year of travels. After a little break of writing and catching up on some rest and just getting used to my trip being over, I’m a little more rested and ready to start putting more things together. I have a handful of lectures to give at MSU in the next couple weeks and am stressing about having a place to stay. Only a week left of enjoying the Jeep Compass. Hopefully I will be able to find the time and energy to continue with the post-invasion tour as there are lots of little projects I would like to do with it. So look out! There is a lot more still to come. I started to total up a lot of the numbers from the trip. There will be photography prints for sale and a massive “Best of The Hometown Invasion Tour” list. Stay tuned!
