-Bugsy You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago. See what I've been up to for the last 16 years at www.bugsy.me |

Michigan, I'm Back!Tuesday, Sep 11, 2007 from East Lansing, MichiganBack in Michigan! I left a year ago, went to all 50 states, stayed with over 100 households, had good times, bad times, and saw more of the United States than I could have imagined. After all this time of being full of thoughts, I’m just not sure what to write about. I’m a little overwhelmed to be back, maybe a lot overwhelmed. The last few weeks have been some of the busiest of the year. All of a sudden my brother got married. Then before I could even process that, my plane was landing in Alaska. Alaska, what an experience that was. But once again, before I was able to process that I was driving back into Michigan and seeing friends for the first time I hadn’t seen in a year. I’m trying to take it slow and spread it all out. There is a lot of excitement, but I can’t handle it all at once. I plan to take a lot of time to decompress. For the first time I can look back on this entire year, though I’m doing it slowly. There were those who doubted the trip, I had some doubts and worries myself. But it went smooth, very smooth. I didn’t have as much as a single flat tire! All the worries I had, all the worries other people had, none of them happened. It was a success. As for Michigan, thank you! I enjoyed going around the country and educating people about Michigan. To my surprise not as many people have been to Michigan as I expected. I educated a lot of people about the Upper Peninsula (where my heart is) and Michigan State. I showed my Michigan and Spartan pride across the country. Michigan is a great state to represent. |
