You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago.

Finding a Place to Live

Sunday, Sep 23, 2007 from Baraga, Michigan

Alright everyone, here’s the deal, I am homeless and unemployed and have been for quite some time. For a while I’m sure I will do the Michigan version of The Hometown Invasion Tour as I follow up with a post-tour promotion. To say it simply, I NEED A PLACE TO CRASH! Hopefully some friends and family in Michigan will be willing to put me up for a while as I recover from my financial shambles. I have piled up a decent amount of debt this year with no income (believe me, not a single regret in the world about it, like I’ve said before, I would do it all over again). So I will need some time to recover.

Ideally, it would be amazing if there are some people out there who are wiling to put me up for a while as I write my book and look for publishers. A book is going to be a hefty project in itself. I can get a job and do some freelance work wherever I am at to pay for my own food, electric, internet, etc. So do you have a spare bedroom? Perhaps a summer or winter home that needs a house sitter and someone to look over it? I will happily make up any inconvenience with hours upon hours of stories from the past year.

As for moving somewhere, well that’s a good question. I’m an opportunist and will follow opportunity wherever that is. Sure, I have a few states that I would prefer, but I’ll follow the opportunity if that means North Dakota, Alabama, California, or elsewhere.

More than anything else, I want to find a place with atmosphere and freedom to write my book. Calling all house sitters!

I love that you HAPPENED to mention Alabama. ;-) I miss you kid. I have an extra bed in my apartment. I'm sure Britney wouldn't mind if you lived with us!

You could live here for a few months. I mean, you'd have to ask your brother of course, but he'd probably say yes since his wife did. ;) But, go where your heart takes you! We live in a great country.
