-Bugsy You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago. See what I've been up to for the last 16 years at www.bugsy.me |

KU Drive-ByThursday, Feb 15, 2007 from Lawrence, KansasI feel like I’m at Espresso Royale back in East Lansing, there haven’t been many times on this trip where I have felt so much in the right place. I’m on a University of Kansas drive-by in Lawrence, KS on my way to Topeka. College coffee shops are my favorite. I’m surrounded by people my age, studying, having interesting conversation, and just enjoying life in a nice casual way. After my time at Boise State I have had a huge desire (and need to keep my sanity) to be on a big college campus. It just hasn’t happened lately and although I’m not staying here it’ll be nice to see a university. College life is something I love dearly and never want to leave behind. It took me five years to gradute from university, but it’ll take me ten years to move away from it. I’m wishing this trip was the university invasion tour… that might be next. I just feel too young, like I should still be in college and socializing my life away. Oh there is so much that could be done with a university tour. Just think of the clubs you could check out, from chess club to physics club and badminton club to sailing club all across the country. Thank you University of Kansas for being on my way to Topeka so I can check it out and feel the college love. And a special shout out to my best buddy Devon back in Brooklyn, NY, a big fan of not only the university but the entire state. “Of course there’s a lot of knowledge in universities: the freshmen bring a little in; the seniors don’t take much away, so knowledge sort of accumulates…” – Abbott Lawrence Lowell I never graduated from Iowa, but I was only there for two terms - Truman’s and Eisenhower’s. – Alex Karras And where else do you hear conversations like…
Comment by Nicole From DeWitt , MI My favorite is... "Yea, I'll just facebook him"
Comment by Jen From East Lansing, MI it isn't real if it isn't on Facebook. it only speaks the truth.
Comment by Jen From Leeds, UK Hahahaha, hey Facebook is a big step in a relationship. Did anyone try to pick someone up by asking if they could facebook 'em sometime? Oh it's a sad comment on our generation. Excellent. |
