You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago.

Larry, I’m impressed. No offence for other young hosts who have had me on this trip, but in general younger generations are not as good of hosts as older generations. I think that’s just a natural progression through maturity in life, so no worries. But Larry, I’m impressed, he did a great job hosting for his age (same age as me). It was also great to knock out a connection through my brother as well, as most of my hosts have come through much more distant connections.

For a couple nights in Stamford my competitive side came into play. One night was at the bar for a game of darts. Darts has been much more frequent on the trip than I would have anticipated. I’m a clutch performer. Me and Megan were getting beat by quite a bit… but with an awesome comeback we won the game. Two nights later it was another comeback victory for Larry and I while playing the 20th Century Edition of Trivial Pursuit. Well done Larry, well done.

For the Connecticut grand finale, Larry, John, Brian, James and I found our way to TK’s in Danbury for their famous wings. Best wings of the trip, baby! Now you may be wondering what the title of this blog is all about. This is the part of the entry where it comes in. They’ve got some hot wings, one of the hottest on the menu is served with their Suicide Sauce. Hot stuff. But if you’re really up for a challenge you have to be a local and know there is one more option they don’t put on the menu, the Resurrection. These are hot enough to bring anything back to life… especially when you ask them to make them extra hot. These Resurrection Wings were the hottest things I have ever tasted in my life. The first 20 seconds was bliss, very tasty sauce! After that was pain, pain, pain. I have never felt such fire in my mouth, and the other guys would agree. A special shout out to Brian for eating the most and toughing it out. And Larry well done, you’re right, they were sisters, but you missed out on which was older!

Justin, it was truly my pleasure to have you stay here in Stamford. I'm glad I got the opportunity to hear your stories, and I hope your next 65 days are as exciting and varied as the last 300 have been. I feel compelled to make a minor correction to your post. While your statement "... when you ask them to make them extra hot" isn't incorrect, Brian's exact words (while in earshot of the cooks) included "... because the cook wussed out on us last time." I think that's what really did us in.
