You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago.

Breckenridge Love

Tuesday, Jan 23, 2007 from Breckenridge, Colorado

This afternoon I arrived in one of my favorite towns I’ve ever been to, quite possibly the favorite. At 9,600 feet it is the highest town I’ve been to. And it’s the first town I’ve been to that I was already quite familiar with. This is my third time in Breckenridge. I mentioned it could possibly be one of my favorite towns, which in large part might be because of all the good memories I have here.

My previous two trips to Breckenridge were with the MSU Snowboard Club. Trip one was December 2004 and the second was January 2006. I made two other trips with the snowboard club to Park City, UT and Steamboat, CO. Those trips with the club were a blast. It was with about 60 other college students that I explored Breckenridge with.

I’m staying here with Ben & Molly and Duncan & Marianna. Ben was the snowboard club president for a couple years. From the start of the trip I gave him my word that’d I would come through Breckenridge. So I made it and it feels really good to be in a town that I’m already familiar with. So maybe I’ll get another day of snowboarding in. Peace.
