-Bugsy You're viewing the original Hometown Invasion Tour website as it appeared in 2006/07. At the time, a site built with tables and flash was commonplace. A few backend changes were made to keep the site functioning, but it appears just as it did 16 years ago. See what I've been up to for the last 16 years at www.bugsy.me |

From NYC to Venice BeachSunday, Dec 3, 2006 from El Segundo, CaliforniaWhat a day. What a day everyday for this entire trip. Every night I go to bed feeling that. And almost every morning. Today I woke up to the sunrise in my hotel room in New York City where I could see the Empire State Building. Tonight I watched the sunset on Venice Beach back here in California. Sure I could have imagined something like that. But it’s a little weird to be living it. These last few days I’ve really been wondering if I’m dreaming. Venice Beach is a place like no other. I truly wish I had more time there. Since I grew up in high school with my skateboard under my feet all the time I knew Venice Beach was always a hot skate spot. It’s always in skateboarding videos and in Tony Hawk’s video games. Gnarly. What a collection of people. There are the little shops, homeless folks, skateboarders, weight lifters, roller bladers, beach bums, tons of diversity, and anything wild and crazy that you can imagine. Another good stop on the way.
