The Night Before Driving

Twas the night before driving, with 10,000 miles down,
Not a Bugsy was stirring, not even the blog.
In the driveway the gas tank was full,
Where the Jeep Compass was ready to roll.

The blog is updated with comments to come,
And 36 states to go with no clue what will become.
Mamma is back at home waiting for me to call,
While I dream of hosts to last through next fall.

The memories are growing with stories to tell,
But it’s said how much I have to live by my cell.
Rice is nestled on guard in the car,
And to think this idea was so bizarre.

Ok, ok, this poem isn’t working out to well, but The Hometown Invasion Tour is in the Christmas spirit. And I’m wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. I hope you enjoy my little effort of a poem. Ahh… the night before driving, it’s usually the only night of the week where I get a full night of sleep. Tonight I won’t either, I’m a kid at heart and I must get to bed so Santa can come.
