Sep 2 - Say farewell to friends and MSU, drive eight hours home to Baraga. Nov 8 - Take care of business, go to a coffee shop and leave my cell phone behind to get away from it, take a nap, eat dinner with Nicole, meet Chris and family, watch Lost for the first time with Angela and friends, have a drink at The Duchess, have an omelette at Beth's Cafe, which is rated one of the top 10 pig out places in the country. Nov 9 - Tour Seattle by car with Chris, go to the top of the Space Needle, explore Pike Place Market, have an eggnog chai tea at the original Starbucks, see the University of Washington, take a 3 mile walk around Green Lake. Nov 10 - Leave Green Lake and head to Ballard to see my mom's cousin Andy and his family, have lunch with andy, greet Melissa and Simon, head to West Seattle (hit the 7,000 mile mark on 80th St. since leaving East Lansing) to meet Anne and Rod, dinner at the Homestead, photos of the skyline, pie and tea with Anne and Rod's friends. Nov 11 - Get a late start heading out of Seattle, skip visiting Mount Rainer because it was closed off for the first time in 26 years after 18 inches of rain in one week, take Interstate 5, Highway 6, then Highway 101, reach the ocean at Long Beach, arrive in Oregon, visit Cannon Beach, grab a motel in Manzanita to split up the long drive. Oregon Roseburg -- Nov 12-16 Nov 12 - Drive down Highway 101 along the Oregon coast, cut over on Highway 38 and 138, arrive in Roseburg, have a great dinner with Randy and friends.
