A few changes were made, but it appears as it did eleven years ago. View a modern version or see what I've been up to the last ten years at www.bugsy.me |

The American DinerMonday, Jan 8, 2007 from Ogden, UtahAs for some more side notes… this morning John and I went out to breakfast at a local diner. I have to say that one of my favorite things on this trip has been going to local diners all across the country. It’s a true treat to find great locally owned diner. The strange thing is that I never used to like omelets, now it’s all I want when I go out to eat. But of all the omelets there are two that stand out, the first one I ever had in Milwaukee with Dan and then the one I had in Seattle at one of the top ten pig-out places in the country. Sadly the IHOPs and Denny’s are taking over the local diners across the country. But I can’t wait until I’m a local somewhere, then I can be a regular that comes into a diner and is called by first name and they ask, “Will it be the usual Bugsy?” The first step to all of that is I actually have to settle down and be a local somewhere. At this pace that’s not going to happen anytime soon. ![]() ![]() ![]() From somwhere, NJ
